Having excellent interpersonal skills could make you a valuable asset in nearly every industry. When JaQuise Roy realized he was ready for a new career, he knew that developing these skills was crucial. In our online human resource administration program, JaQuise tackled topics such as: employee training programs, diversity in the workplace, and compensation systems. We are proud of him for graduating and starting a new human resource administration career at Chick-fil-A. Named by Glassdoor as “one of the top 100 best places to work in 2020,” this nationwide company has won awards from Newsweek and QSR Magazine.1

What You Learn in a Human Resource Administration Program

For each graduate of a program, we highlight three different courses. During the program, JaQuise took courses such as: Employee Benefits Design, Risk Management, and Human Resources Law.

In these courses, he learned about:

  • Developing and planning employee benefit programs related to healthcare benefits, retirement plans, equity-based employee benefit plans, and ancillary benefits.
  • Insurance, employee benefits, social security, unemployment, and workers' compensation insurance.
  • Human resources and the law, discriminatory conduct, fair employment practices, disability and medical leave, and employee information and communication mandates.

These topics and more prepared JaQuise for future success in his new career path.
