Compassionate. Supportive. Experienced. You expect your nurses to display these traits when you go to a doctor's office for care. Shouldn't your nursing instructor be held to the same standards? Mrs. Sheila Butler is committed to demonstrating kindness and proficiency while training future nurses at Stautzenberger College's Brecksville campus.

Sheila L. Butler MSN, RN has been a nurse for forty years. She has held several different positions during her tenure including Assistant Dean of Nursing, Director of Nursing, Clinical Coordinator, OB Coordinator, Utilization Review, Case Management, Home Health, Entrepreneurship, Instructor, Staff Development, and more. Mrs. Butler’s greatest joy is working with students and giving back the knowledge she has gained over the years. However, she feels you can never stop learning and continues to develop new and better ways of teaching. Mrs. Butler likes when the light bulb goes off and the student’s face lights up. Her reward is seeing students graduate and become valued nurses.

Stautzenberger College's Diploma in Practical Nursing program is designed to prepare students to take the licensure examination and find entry-level employment in a nursing-related field. Our dedicated, caring instructors, such as Mrs. Butler, teach subjects such as nutrition, pharmacology, medical surgical nursing, anatomy and physiology, and more. Students develop clinical judgment and critical thinking skills not only in the classroom but through practical experience with our externship partners. Best of all, courses could be completed in as little as fourteen months!

We hope Mrs. Butler's story inspired you. Whether you are interested in the practical nursing program or one of the many other programs offered at Stautzenberger College, please come in and talk to us today to find your career passion.
