We Proudly Present Practical Nursing Graduate Ashley King

Is your career what you always envisioned it would be? Ashley King knew since childhood that she wanted to be a nurse, and she decided to pursue that passion. After enrolling in Stautzenberger College's practical nursing program, Ashley studied diligently and completed hands-on training. She faced several struggles during her time in the program, such as raising four children as a single mother and mourning the passing of her father during her last term. However, she successfully graduated from the program and began a career doing what she loves. We could not be more proud of Ashley and her accomplishments. 

What You Learn in a Practical Nursing Program

For each graduate of a program, we highlight three different courses. During the program, Ashley took courses such as: Electronic Health Records, Fundamentals of Nursing 1, and Pharmacology 1: Medication Administration.  

In these courses, she learned about:
• Electronic health records as a means of documentation in a variety of healthcare settings, familiarization with the software, and data entry
• Basic theories and principles of practical nursing (incorporating skill competencies in preparation for clinical experience) with emphasis on the nursing process, holistic care, and life span issues
• Basic principles of medication administration, math calculations, and medication administration techniques

How Our Graduate Became a Practical Nurse

Like Ashley, you too could become a practical nurse and start your career journey in this interesting and necessary profession. Stautzenberger College has determined through approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing its curriculum meets the state educational requirements for licensure or certification. This program prepares students for careers in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and many other settings. Additionally, we assist students in preparing for the NCLEX exam. We are proud to announce that 100% of our 2019 and 2020 graduates who took the exam passed on their first attempt.
