Meet Our Instructor: Janet Little
On February 18, 2021

Janet believes students need a comprehensive education and that it is important it is to connect the theories you read in a textbook to your career. Janet knows how to incorporate her own professional experiences into your lessons.

Janet joined the American Higher Education Development Corporation in April 2012 and has been teaching exclusively online since January 2014. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration (major health administration) from Davenport University. Janet also holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, Janet is a certified professional coder (CPC) through the AAPC.

With 29 years of experience in healthcare, Janet has plenty of real-life scenarios to draw from when teaching. The majority of her career was spent at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. She also taught at Dorsey Schools and Marygrove College. Currently, Janet is the Manager of Coding, Auditing, and Compliance for the University of Toledo Physicians, LLC. As the lead instructor for our healthcare administration and medical billing and coding programs, Janet passes on everything she's learned from these environments to the next generation.

Since our instructors have worked in their field for years, their teachings incorporate real-life examples, making it easier to apply your new knowledge in the real-world setting.   Whether you are interested in the Medical Office Billing and Coding Program or one of the many other programs offered at our College, please contact us today.
