On June 28, 2019

Have you ever given up on a dream after encountering an obstacle? It's tempting to seek out a different goal whenever difficulties arise. You may conclude that accomplishing this task is impossible for you or that another path may require less effort and sacrifice. However, recent graduate Michael Bucknell never stopped pursuing his ideal career.

Certain of his career choice, Mr. Bucknell enrolled in Stautzenberger College's veterinary technician program. “I always knew I wanted to work with animals, and finding Stautzenberger College was the turning point in my life,” says Mr. Bucknell. While selecting a career came easily to him, completing the coursework proved more challenging. He had to retake two courses which served as a blow to his confidence. However, Mr. Bucknell's instructors encouraged him to continue. “Veterinary technician instructors like Ms. Zemanek pushed me to do better, which made me want to work harder towards my goal,” he recalls.
