Brecksville Meet Our Instructor - Lisa Rister
On March 22, 2021

No matter which state you're in, you'll find central sterile processing technicians in medical centers. Their work is pivotal to patient and medical staff safety. Lisa Rister can attest to this, as she has worked as a central sterile processing technician in five different states.

Lisa leads the central sterile processing technology program at Brecksville Campus. She joined us in April 2019, after nine years of experience in the sterile processing field. Three of those years were spent traveling between Wisconsin, South Dakota, West Virginia, Mississippi, and Ohio. In 2017, she became certified by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM).

Lisa wants to see all of her students succeed and reach the career of their dreams. Teaching has become one of her favorite activities, as she is excited to see new central sterile processing technicians enter the field. Outside of teaching, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Going to Cleveland Browns football games is another one of her hobbies.

Since our instructors have worked in their field for years, their teachings incorporate real-life examples, making it easier to apply your new knowledge in the real-world setting.
