Stautzenberger College Celebrated Graduation August 12

The Stautzenberger College Brecksville campus celebrated Summer Commencement on Friday, August 12 at Strongsville Community Center.  

The commencement address was given by the Honorable Christopher Green, of Berea Municipal Court and Sharon Harvey, the executive director of the Cleveland Animal Protective League.

Student speakers were Sara Farren and Lauren Fenner, both graduates of Stautzenberger’s veterinary technician program.

Thanks to social media, I get to keep in touch with many of my Animal Sciences/Vet Tech graduates after they have moved onward and upward post-college-life. Laura is one of these fabulous grads, and it has been a joy and an inspiration to network with her now as colleagues. Laura is a true hero, protecting the most helpless among us, and putting herself in danger every day, and every night. She gets little thanks, and even less time off.

The college’s newest program involves several disciplines valued in the animal industry, including grooming, massage, training, basic animal care, nutrition and communication skills.
