The Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology is a degree completion program, designed to provide IT professionals with the opportunity to improve their skills, enhance their IT knowledge and advance their careers. Graduates of this program could be well prepared to pursue positions of increased responsibility in a variety of information technology jobs.
Program length – 7 months
This program includes courses in green information and business information technology, infrastructure, and server management. General education courses in history, math, psychology and ethics provide the necessary curriculum to complete the associate degree. This program also offers a course in digital communication strategies, providing students with an opportunity to explore current social media and its use in a professional setting.
Those with associate degrees in IT could work as network or computer system administrators, computer systems analysts, and computer user support specialists. Demand for computer systems analysts in the U.S. is expected to grow by 14% with 191,600 new job openings between 2014 and 2024.1
