Practical Nursing

The mission of the Practical Nursing Program (PN Program) at Stautzenberger College is to provide a quality education to students with a passion for helping people. The philosophy and conceptual framework of the PN program, with an emphasis on ethics and respect for the medical profession, will train students to provide a valuable service to the community, while guiding student advancement through practical application, clinical skills, critical thinking and continued learning.

  • Perform all nursing functions within safe, legal and ethical parameters.
  • Learn clinical judgement.
  • Achieve a precision level in biological, physical, psychosocial and nursing sciences.
  • Judgment and skill to safely and accurately administer medication.
  • Qualify to take Licensure Examination.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of jobs in the US for Licensed Practical Nurses is expected to increase by 7% between 2018 and 2028.1

After you complete the Practical Nursing Diploma Program, you could continue with our online, 7-month Healthcare Administration Associate Degree completion program. That's only 21 months total to get an associate degree.
