Get the Training You Need to Begin Your Career as a Medical Assistant
Interested in beginning a medical assistant career? At Stautzenberger College, we provide all of the education and hands-on practice that are necessary for becoming an entry-level medical assistant. Students who successfully complete this program will be qualified for positions in a wide range of healthcare environments, such as physicians’ offices, managed health care organizations, laboratories, or other allied health facilities.
This comprehensive program is designed to provide enrolled students with the communication and collaborative skills necessary for effective interaction with other members of the medical team. Over the duration of the program, students will also develop the essential clinical and ethical skills that are required to assist physicians and patients alike, along with the comprehension necessary to perform all administrative and clinical duties in a healthcare environment.
The Medical Assistant programs at Stautzenberger College are available in both diploma and Associate degree programs and in day and evening class formats. Upon successful completion of the Medical Assisting course, graduates will be eligible to sit for the national voluntary Certified Medical Assistant exam.
Stautzenberger College is a school that is fully committed to assisting our graduates as they enter the field of their choosing. Our Career Services department provides guidance and job placement assistance for all of our Medical Assisting graduates once their externships available in the local Toledo Metro area and neighboring Ohio facilities are completed.

Medical Assistant Program Details
The Medical Assistant diploma program provides students with a basic educational foundation for becoming a medical assistant in today’s healthcare industry. The normal time to complete the Medical Assisting diploma program for a full-time student is 18 months. Upon successful completion of this program, the graduate will receive a diploma.
Associate Degree Program
The Associate degree program offers a more extensive educational foundation for a career in medical assisting. This comprehensive program also includes coursework in General Education. The normal time to complete this program for a full-time student is 27 months. Graduates of the Medical Assistant degree program receive an Associate of Applied Science degree.
