Real Estate pre-licensing courses are offered to prepare the student to become a real estate agent. These courses; Real Estate Principles and Practices, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Appraisal are required for a person seeking a real estate agent license in Ohio. They are offered on a non-credit basis and are not part of a full ACICS accredited program. Classes run from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday.Stautzenberger Advantages

Q: Who offers these courses? Are they available on an online basis?
A: Any approved Ohio college or university may offer the pre-licensure courses. As an approved college in Ohio, Stautzenberger College has offered Real Estate pre-license training for over 40 years. The courses may ONLY be offered on a residential basis, and in a classroom setting.
Q: Is Financial Aid available for the Real Estate program?
A: The Real Estate Pre-licensing Program is similar to a Continuing Education course offered at any college or university. NO financial aid is available to assist in paying for the courses. Many colleges, including Stautzenberger College, do offer convenient payment plans to help spread out the expense.
Q: Do all four courses have to be taken with the same educational institution?
A: No, you may choose whichever institution fits your schedule for the four courses. Keep in mind, however, that it generally is best to take all four courses at the same institution.
Q: Will this program help increase my sales ability in selling Real Estate?
A: No, this program is designed to prepare you with the knowledge to successfully take and pass the Ohio Real Estate Salesperson License Exam. Your sponsoring Real Estate Broker will provide sales and administrative training.
Q: Do I need to be sponsored by a Real Estate Broker before taking these courses?
A: No, you do not need to have a sponsor prior to taking the four classes. You DO need to have a Real Estate Broker sponsor you to take the test. That Broker will also hold your license.
Q: How long are these certificates good for?
A: You have ten years after receiving certificates of completion for the four courses to sit for the licensing exam. It is not advisable to wait that long.
Q: I live right near the Michigan state line. Does this qualify me to take the Michigan Licenses Exam?
A: This program is ONLY for Real Estate Licensing in the state of Ohio. You will need to contact the state of Michigan Department of Real Estate for their pre-licensing requirements.
