Distance Learning Readiness Inventory

DISTANCE LEARNING PLATFORM
Stautzenberger College utilizes the eCollege Learning Management System. Courses are offered in a primarily asynchronous format. Electronic course materials including syllabi, lectures, unit materials, project briefs, tutorials, auxiliary readings, and related internet resources are available to students 24-hours, 7-days-a-week during the period of coursework.

DISTANCE LEARNING COSTS AND FEES
Stautzenberger College assesses no special fees for distance learning courses. Students enrolled in distance learning courses purchase textbooks as they would for traditional face-to-face courses.

ENROLLMENT IN DISTANCE EDUCATION COURSES
Distance education courses will be offered quarterly based upon enrollment needs and student interest. Stautzenberger College does not guarantee that all distance education courses will be offered every quarter.

In order to enroll in distance education courses, students must meet with their Program Director to schedule. All distance learning students must complete a Readiness Inventory prior to starting their first distance learning course. Additionally, all students must attend a required 1-hour orientation with the Distance Learning Coordinator prior to starting their first distance learning course. During the distance learning orientation, the Coordinator will discuss with students the strengths and limitations of distance courses, and whether a given student is prepared to meet the challenges of a distance education course.
